our second homework was supposed to help us physically prepare us for the tour.
of course, we all cycle at home – to work, for shopping, on the weekends to have a picnic and all other kinds of stuff. but cycling more than 50km a day for several days in a row is something different. it will probably make people feel quite exhausted or worse (i’m just thinking of muscle aches or cramps), if they aren’t trained at all.
anyways, i already cycled a couple of kilometers during the last weeks and also did homework#2: at the day of the velothon in Berlin (a road bike racing – open for professional cyclers as well as for beginners) i cycled about 90km (from my garden – situated in the north-east borderline of berlin – around the eastern and northern part from berlin – bernau-oranienburg-spandau – to the city centre and back).
and the next day i took the bike to work, about 68km all together.
